1. Get a key ring from Key Watcher (there are different academic and science quad rings)
  2. Jot down all the rooms that are on your list to open and mark as “in progress” on EMS
  3. Take a go-bag (make sure to have extra batteries, markers, and chalk)
    •  If you are opening science quad, make sure to have a screwdriver with the correct parts for hexing doors (Mel 203 and CSB 209 and Hoyt Handicap door ONLY)
  4. Tasks for opening rooms:
    • Unlock door (some doors have a button to press to keep the door unlocked/do not key open cardswipe rooms/check handle is unlocked/open after you close door)
    • Turn on lights and check room for facility issues/broken furniture (report if found)
    • Wake up in room computer and check functionality (restart if needed)
    • Turn on and check mic batteries (replace if needed)
    • Check if room has chalk/markers/erasers (replace if needed)
    • Wrap up any loose chords onto hooks or tuck back into lectern
    • Make sure all AV technology is off (projector, mics, etc.)
