Nearly all of the 150 reservable locations managed by Event and Classroom Management are used as instructional space which means that the academic schedule for a given semester must be finalized before these locations are able to be reserved for meetings and special events.

The fall semester is entered into EMS in early June while the spring semester is entered in mid November. After these schedules are finalized, ECM is then able to start accepting reservation requests for these locations.

Large event spaces (such as the Feldman Ballroom, Strong Auditorium, the May Room, and a few others) follow a different process because they are rarely used as instructional space. During the spring semester, ECM begins to accept requests for these event spaces for the following academic year.
